Bart Vodderie
Whole memory
Although Bart Vodderie is a diplomat and widely known for his outstanding wildlife photography, his interests extend far beyond the natural world. His thoughtful approach can also be seen in his portraits, street photography, and architectural work, where he combines a keen sense of observation with a deep appreciation for people, culture, and place. His photography has been featured in many exhibitions around the world, and this project marks his sixth exhibition in China.
Bart's photographs act as the whole memory within the collaboration. His images offer continuity, calm, and careful observation, holding people, streets, architecture, and place with clarity and respect. In dialogue with Igli's fragmented works, Bart's photographs become the remembered world before it breaks apart.
Igli Martini Kocibelli
Fragmented memory
Although Igli Martini Kocibelli is a civil engineer, his passion for photography began in 2006 as a way to find balance during the stress of demanding construction work. Known for portraits and landscapes, his work has been featured in exhibitions across Europe, Australia, and China. During four years in China, he became fascinated by the busy streets of Beijing. Having lived in many places, he feels that memory is never complete. As he moves to Brussels, this project becomes both a celebration of China and a gift to himself, using double exposure, glitches, and digital techniques to represent fragmented memory.
Igli's photographs act as the fragmented memory within the collaboration. His images explore how places return through layers, interruptions, reflections, and digital traces. In dialogue with Bart's whole memories, Igli's work becomes the remembered world after it has passed through time, movement, and emotion.
